Another unique development from Mutoh is DropMaster technology, which allows you to save significant time by automating printhead adjustment. It recalculates and precisely adjusts uni/bi-directional fire timings based on the material thickness – and consequently the distance between the printhead and the material – regardless of print speed and resolution. This not only saves you time, but also results in sharper, smoother, higher quality prints.

Dual piezo printhead

Mutoh has been integrating piezo printheads since 1999. Due to decades of experience and continuous development, their printheads are now worthy opponents of the most well-known brands. The Mutoh ValueJet 2638WX waterbased / sublimation printer is equipped with 2 staggered, latest generation, 1440 nozzle Micro Piezo printheads, which have 8-8 rows, 180 nozzles per row, 360 nozzles per color. The head height ranging from 1.5 to 4 mm makes it compatible with a wide range of materials. Thanks to the Piezo Variable Drop Technology, the ink drop mass ranges from 3.6 picoliters up to 35.2 picoliters, ensuring perfect coverage from the thinnest to the thickest materials.

The key to Mutoh's success is that all development is done in-house, resulting in 100% coordinated systems. This also includes consumables: they have developed dedicated inks tuned to specific piezo heads, covering specific applications to achieve the perfect end results. In MUTOH ValueJet 2638WX waterbased/sublimation printer's case, this is DS2 Dye Sublimation universal transfer & direct sublimation ink, designed for a wide range of use.

Sublimation: more vibrant colors, more durable prints

You can use Mutoh ValueJet 2638WX printer for sublimation transfer printing of textiles with at least 80% synthetic fibres (e.g. polyester), or hard objects with sublimation coating. You print on roll sublimation paper, from which you then transfer the ink to the substrate using a large-format heat press or a roll-to-roll heat treatment calender. The dye is transformed into a vapour by the heat treatment, so that it is incorporated directly into the molecular structure of the fibre material, producing extremely durable prints that resists environmental influences. You can produce a wide range of high quality fashion items, home decor textile, display products as well as customized unique gift products with this technology. Just to name a few: sportswear and fitness clothing items, swimwear, synthetic clothing, flags, decorative cushions, curtains and other home textiles, textile pictures, textile banners and other textile display products, as well as customized products of different scales.
