We have been distributing our own-brand sublimation inks since 2006. These inks provide vivid colours, deep black and steady quality for all sublimation printing projects such as making personalized and custom-made photo gifts or sublimation printing of flags and fashion clothing. Opposite to cheap Chinese sublimation inks SD sublimation inks do not dry and clog in the printer nozzles even after 1-2 weeks of break (when the printer is not used); they provide steady long-term solution for sublimation printing. It is suitable for Epson large format printers with tfp head.

What is sublimation ink good for? How does it work?

Inkjet sublimation inks can be used in Epson ink jet printers; they are suitable for large format roll printers. The type of the necessary printer depends on the use. This special ink works similarly to default inks - we print onto paper - but during sublimation printing a chemical process allows us to print onto objects those are otherwise impossible to print on, or need really expensive industrial printing methods (eg. screen printing). This special chemical process is sublimation. The ink sublimates from the printed paper into the surface of the object when heated. Sublimation is the only applicable technology as default inks are not suitable for sublimation printing even with transfer paper. This means the essence of technology lies in the ink; it is not about special papers or heat press machines.
Sublimation is a chemical change; it is the transition of a substance (in this case the ink) directly from the solid to the gas phase when heated. The sublimation ink printed on the paper transfers onto the surface of the object in the heat press, and bounds with the surface on a molecular level. This print is long-lasting and almost impossible to remove. This procedure is suitable for digital sublimation printing in a common office environment and also for printing textile rolls (flags, sportswear, fashion clothing etc.) before confectioning with large format printers.
