Sublimation

Sublimation wide format printing is similar to desktop “sublimation” printers, using dye sublimation inks, which can be printed on special roll sublimation paper with a wide format printer. Graphics and prints printed on paper can be transferred by heat press or roll heat treatment calender onto textiles with at least 80% synthetic fibres (e.g. polyester), or onto hard products and souvenirs pre-treated with sublimation varnish. The dye is transformed into a vapour by the heat treatment, so that the dye vapour is directly transferred into the molecular structure of the fibre material, thus colouring the substrate. Sublimation technology is used to produce, among other things, dresses, swimwear, jerseys, fitness clothing, flags, cushions, curtains, textile pictures, textile display products, small and large hard goods, souvenirs.

Audley SUB 180 PRO is equipped with dual i3200 heads for guaranteed speed, quality and stability. The i3200 has 4 in a row, 800 nozzles, so a total of 3200 nozzles are 40-70% faster than the DX5. The ink droplets are shaped in a more regular circle compared to the dx5 but more importantly: ink droplets are smaller, so the print quality is better, sharper and more contoured.
