The beginnings of DTF printing: blessing or curse?
The appearance of DTF (Direct To Foil) technology became a huge success in the field of digital printing and personalized promotional gifts production, so much so that it has now almost completely replaced DTG (Direct To Garment) direct T-shirt printing.The secret of its success is that it combines the advantages of previously known transfer printing techniques – such as cost efficiency and more types of printable materials – with the durability of industrial screen printing.
Unfortunately, after the early success, disadvantages soon appeared. Thanks to its great popularity, countless (mainly Chinese) manufacturers launched their own DTF printers. Due to the early stage of the technology and often DIY solutions, the elimination of constant printer problems (ink drying, striped prints, etc.) in these models cost a lot of money and energy from the users. One of the typical examples of this is the converted Epson L1800 printers: you could see numerous professional Facebook group posts about its problems.

• Head-Strike Sensor: A built-in sensor protects the print head.
• Auto Ink Alert System: Automatically notifies you when ink is running low.
• Automatic Film Sensor: Automatically stops the printing process when DTF film runs out.

In addition to these intelligent functions increasing the printer's life expestancy and making maintenance easier, another great advantage of the brand is the complex professional support they provide. It is unique in the market, even market-leading premium brands don't provide such great support.

If you want to start DTF printing at a low cost and in a small format, the Prestige R1 is the ideal choice for you. It is the first 100% factory-made (non-converted) entry-level desktop roll-to-roll DTF printer, with which you can get out of the excruciating world of cheap Chinese desktop DTF printers and converted L1800 printers. Prestige R1 is DTF Station's most affordable printer with the smallest space requirement, which at the same time provides you with 30 cm roll DTF printing and industrial stability. Besides the DTF supply starter pack and RIP software, the system contains a heat treatment unit. You could choose from two options: a cheaper, manual 40×50 cm DTF heat treatment machine or a completely automatic 3in1 heat treatment–powder shaker–fume extraction machine.

If you are looking for a compact, cost effective but professional desktop solution, Prestige R2 Pro is your printer, which allows you to print high quality prints on 30 cm rolls. It is slightly more expensive than its "little brother", the R1, but in return it enables production at least twice as fast with 2 i1600 print heads.
