Information for DTF Station Color Prime users

For best color reproduction, the manufacturer recommends replacing the entire CMYK ink set with the new Chroma version at the same time and flushing. (Step-by-step guide with video tutorial in our blog post.)

The older version of Color Prime and Color Prime Chroma are chemically compatible to avoid nozzle clogging and downtime, so pouring them directly on top of each other does not cause chemical blockage, but in this case, while the two inks are mixing, a color inconsistency may occur. (As the old ink runs out and the new ink remains in the machine, this will completely disappear.) Only pour the new ink on top of the old one if there is very little old ink at the bottom of the tank. Otherwise, suck the old ink out of the tank as shown in the blogpost.

Storing

• Keep sealed at 15–25 °C away from direct sunlight; avoid freezing.

  Tip: Automate the process! Eddy 2 Ink Bottle Shaker: Just pop in the bottle and press start!
• Shelf Life (Unopened): 12 months (Internally tested stable for over 1.5 years when properly stored)

Printing

• Use DTF printer with a white ink circulation system. (E.g. our DTF Station printers)
• Always keep humidity over 40%! (You could check it with a digital humidity monitor and if needed, you could use a humidifier!
• Always perform nozzle check and head cleaning if needed before each work.

Warranty conditions

We can only guarantee the compatibility and problem-free operation of the ink with our own DTF system (printer, ink, pet film, powder, heat treatment unit) bought at our shop and installed by our colleagues. If printers or supplies not included in our offer are used with it, the customer is responsible! We advice you not to, but if you do use it in a different printer, the compatibility should always be tested before using it in larger scale.

Since proper storing and usage of the DTF ink cannot be checked, we do not accept complaints after the purchase.

* Color Prime Chroma inks were tested with the whole DTF Station Prestige line, therefore its compatibility is proven with Epson printheads used in these printers as well as many other DTF printers. For supported printer types contact our colleagues!
